As a hospital-based rehabilitation program, Scenic Mountain Medical Center provides continuous care throughout a patient's surgery and recovery, from hospital admission to outpatient treatment. Additionally, as part of our outpatient rehabilitation services, we treat a variety of joint-related pain, conduct pre-employment screenings and manage work-related injuries.

Our treatment plan incorporates a team approach to help meet individual patients' needs and we work with patients and their families to set goals and provide input on care. Treatment incorporates a variety of methods, including ultrasound, electrical stimulation, hydrotherapy and exercise.

Rehabilitation services at are located on the first floor of the hospital and are available Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

MEET OUR TEAM

Jessica Miller, OTR

Jessica Miller

Jessica Miller was raised in Big Spring, Texas and is a graduate from Texas Tech Health Science Center earning a Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy in 2003. Mrs. Miller has worked as an Occupational Therapist for 17 years and is currently in the process of earning a Hand Therapy Certification. Mrs. Miller’s area of interest consist of upper extremity orthopedics, neurological disorders, DME evaluations and pre-employment tests as a WorkSTEPS provider.

Merry Segador, PT, DPT

Merry Segador

Merry Segador graduated from Velez College of the Philippines in 2010 with a Bachelor’s in Physical Therapy and earned her doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2017 from A.T. Still University in Arizona.  Mrs. Segador has been in practice as a Physical Therapist for 10 years with 6 of those years spent in Big Spring, Texas. Her areas of interest consist of orthopedics, sports medicine, neurological disorders and vestibular rehab. Mrs. Segador has earned additional training and certifications in soft tissue mobilization techniques and functional movement techniques.  

Ashley Born, PTA

Ashley Born

Ashley Born graduated from Odessa College in 2010 from the Physical Therapist Assistance Program. Mrs. Born was raised in Coahoma, Texas and has worked at Scenic Mountain Medical Center Rehab Department for 10 years. Mrs. Born has a versatile area of experience in orthopedics, geriatrics, sports medicine and neurological disorders. Mrs. Born has earned certifications in functional movement techniques and is a WorkSTEPs provider for pre-employment testing.

Gwen Dominguez, PTA

Gwen Dominguez

Gwen Dominguez graduated from Odessa College in 2003 from the Physical Therapist Assistance Program. Mrs. Dominguez was raised in Big Spring, Texas and has 17 years of experience as a PTA. Mrs. Dominguez’ areas of interest include orthopedic, geriatric, pediatrics and vestibular rehab. Mrs. Dominguez has earned certifications in functional movement techniques and geriatric treatment techniques.

Becky Mebane, COTA

Becky Mebane

Becky Mebane graduated from South Western Oklahoma State University in 1999 with an Associates in Applied Science for Occupational Therapy. Mrs. Mebane moved to West Texas 8 years ago and is licensed by the state of Texas and nationally certified to practice in the field of OT. In her 21 years of experience, Mrs. Mebane’s primary areas of practice include pediatric outpatient services, geriatrics and orthopedics.

Sylvia Herrera, Support Staff

Sylvia Herrera

Sylvia Herrera was born and raised in Big Spring, Texas. Graduated from Big Spring High School in 2001 and Howard Junior College in 2012 with a Medical Assistance and Phlebotomy Certification.  Mrs. Herrera has worked in the Medical field for over 10 years including expert knowledge in eligibility services and insurance coverage.
