What: Scenic Mountain Medical Center is fully operational and continuing to serve patients through a temporary phone outage caused by nearby road construction.

Because 911 and internet service has been impacted by the outage, patients should immediately seek medical care in the event of an emergency.

AT&T officials have advised the hospital that service should resume by 8 p.m. CT.

Today is National Doctor’s Day, with Scenic Mountain Medical Center home to more than 30 local physicians who have been on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic.
